| Loki lived since before man began to listen to the tales and watched how his image has been used in the years of mankind, each a part of his core self. He has been the prankster, the betrayer, a villain, a figure in fiction, even a cult devotedly follows his ways. These are all part of him, however reviled, and his kernel impulse has always been to seek out stagnant quiet and shake it up, see what can come from a little imbalance. When he sensed a pocket world, shielded and tended by two world-weary magical beings, the urge to introduce some chaos was irresistible. He landed on the island, unasked for and unwelcome and, after eons of this treatment, completely unfazed. He is not evil, or malicious to others, he has not yet become that soured on kinship and people. Loki is a troublemaker, more interested on entertaining himself and the audience with gimmicks, tricks and the fallout than actually planning harm to others. He's childish and mature, clever and petty, tired with age and still has enough energy to go off and stir up some excitement. His embellishments to the island are not, in of themselves, out to destroy others. Patrons of his casino have just as much luck winning well as having some equitable trouble delivered, and the pot isn't only gold. Abstracts can be gambled and won, from a day's worth of laughter, supernatural powers or even the very idea of love. Nothing is ever gained from not taking a risk.
