There are many worlds beside Avalon that can only be found if you know where to look. Never Never Land, Tyr Na Nog, and Faerie all have special roads or incantations that take you to them, only accessible to those who know someone who has been there, or those with exceptionable luck. Merlin's Boulangerie is one of those, or it was, upon a time. Surrounded by the seas of Atlantis, the island is a small picturesque place. It has rolling plains, dense jungles, and humid swamps. The waters surrounding the island are home to Calypso, and often she will collide with Merlin, in both friendly and competitive ways. At heart, they are learning magic from one another, and from the magic inherent in all of the new faces that come to the island. Though this world is a half-step from our own, Merlin's unusual hobby has some unusual effects on the island and the world it is loosely attached to. Where one needed to know the spell and the motions to get there once upon a time, now one just has to be lucky enough to be in the way of the small portals that form with every muffin and loaf of bread Merlin forms in his kitchen. All good things come to an end, and the peace and quiet of the island came to an abrupt halt the day Loki came wandering in. Bringing his mischief and magic, he introduced danger and change to the inhabitants with his Casino. A roll of the dice can deliver greatest pleasure or regret to whoever dares try their hand. Taste of Magic is a panfandom RPG where pups can interact in a variety of locations. From sunny beaches to stormy seas, even underwater palaces this is a place where anything is possible, and it all should be expected. The magicians are willing to let those who come to their island once return home, and back, as often as they like (for the most part), and tend to stay out of mortal affairs (usually). Still, it is unwise to be incautious in a world forged of magic and life like this. Even the smallest action may have a very large reaction. |
