After you Apply

When a pup comes to the island, they are in a hotel room that is suited to their tastes. If your pup wants to live in someone else's room, that's where they'll wake up.

There will be no upfront explanation, (unless you have PC roommate who's feeling expository), but any of the people around your pup can give them information, if they ask. You'll find that your pup gets a lot of things when they ask. For instance, all any pup has at first is the clothing they were wearing, and the various decorations of their room(s). It is warm enough to go naked everywhere in this world, but any request for clothing made of the bureau/closet/whatever clothing container the pup is used to will yield a selection of clothing that fits perfectly and suits the pup's taste.

This extends any library, any kitchen, or really any other room in the house. Ask for soup and you receive soup. Ask for books and you get books. Ask for a first edition version of Tom Sawyer and you get. . .nothing. Ask for a Coach bag, or a blue umbrella for your drink and you get nothing. Ask for a purse and you get whatever style suits you best, but it will never be exactly what you wanted. Your drink umbrella might be green. Or pink.

For specific items, your pup will have to talk to one of the other guests. Maybe someone else has that blue drink umbrella, or the Manolo Blahniks you want. Or you could always try your luck gambling for the money. The shops also run on credit, though this must be paid back at some point.
